Class 3 Digital Signatures are not working with Income Tax Website

Cloud 84 is Una, Himachal based premium Digital Signature Reseller. This is a quick post based on our observations for ITR filing issues with digital signatures. Until now this information is not validated by Income Tax and Certifying Authorities (SIFY, E-Mudhra, nCode etc). At present, We are not 100% sure if Income Tax Department Website stopped working with Class 3 digital signatures.

Today I got 3-4 complaints for class 3 Signatures that they are not working with Income Tax website. One of my Chartered Accountant told me that he used same class 3 DSC for previous year ITR but same DSC is not working now on Income Tax website. Another CA also confirmed same problem.

After login it gives error:
“INVALID DIGITAL SIGNATURE. INVALID KEY USAGE. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER”

INVALID DIGITAL SIGNATURE. INVALID KEY USAGE. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER
INVALID DIGITAL SIGNATURE. INVALID KEY USAGE. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER

I go through Income Tax website trouble shooting but not found information on this particular error. I also talked to other SIFY & E-Mudhra RA's they confirmed that class 3 digital signatures are not working with Income tax website from this year.

So investigation is still under process. If somebody has success or got same error for filing Income Tax Return with class 3 digital signature then share your experience in comments area.

Things to Keep in Mind while buying New Laptop

Things to Keep in Mind while buying New Laptop

Laptop design has changed considerably over the years. There are so many new variables that come into play now, especially with regards to form factor, displays and functionality. These smaller, portable PCs can pack a lot of power for their size, and offer a lot of useful features just like you’d find on a desktop PC.

A laptop’s biggest appeal, obviously, lies in its portability. You can take it with you wherever you go, which means you can work and play anytime, anywhere i.e. garden, home, mall or wherever you want to use it.

Today’s laptops and notebooks are more sophisticated and better engineered than ever, giving you the ability to do whatever you need. From internet surfing, Video Chatting, documents and presentations to movies, music, programming, 3d gaming, CAD and more, there’s nothing which can't be done on laptop.

If you travel frequently, then portability is going to be your main concern. Consider having a slim, lightweight laptop. These notebook computers feature processors (or CPUs) that have been optimised for mobility. This means these notebook PCs are energy efficient as well as compact. If you notice that no notebook is mobile enough for your needs, you’ll want to check out the 2-in-1 Convertible Laptops. These can instantly be used as Tablets and are just the thing for on-the-go
computing, and they’re cheap as well.

More powerful processors have boosted laptop performance considerably. At the same time, ever-larger hard drive capacity –
up to 2TB on more expensive models – gives you the ability to multi-task with increasingly more complex applications. And
with up to 32GB of memory, today’s laptops make it easy for you to store your documents, music, photos, video and other media.

So, what kind of laptop or notebook is the right one for you? As always, it depends on your needs and your budget. Think about how you’ll be using yours, do some comparison shopping on features and prices, and get the best you can afford.

You can contact Cloud84 for personalised suggestions/recommendation for new laptop, mobile and other electronics by clicking “Ask Your Query” Below.

Digital Signatures for Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC)

hrtc e-tender

Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has introduced an e-procurement system to procure items electronically, using the internet. The system drastically reduces time and indirect costs involved in the tendering cycle. It also enhances transparency in the procurement process. To access the HRTC online tenders system, vendors require a PC with
• Any Windows XP SP3 (Windows 7 recommended) with latest Java Runtime Installed. It will not work on Android devices because of Java runtime issue.
• An 3g/4g/Broadband internet connection. Any fast connection would be ideal for smooth operation of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation tender portal.
• The web browser should be Java enabled. Either one of these can be used – Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer.
• Drivers for digital signature certificates (DSC) has to be installed on the PC. if you have drives please download now.

[maxbutton id=”1″]

The HRTC e-procurement system can be accessed from any location. The HRTC e-procurement portal is very user friendly. Under the ‘Latest Active Tenders' link, users can view all tenders hosted on this portal and download the tender schedule. You can view the tenders  closing on the same day or close within 7 days or within next 14 days.

As per the Indian Information Technology Act 2000, a digitally-signed electronic document (soft copy) is as good as paper document for all legal purposes. Hence, after uploading tender-related documents on the tender portal, there is no need to submit the documents physically. The documents have to be provided for verification if required later. However, if the vendor chooses to make payments via offline methods the physical documents have to be submitted before the bid opening event.

A digital certificate, which is mandatory for online tenders, can be presented electronically to prove the owners’ identity, to sign certain documents digitally, to access information or services on the internet. E-Mudhra Digital Signature Certificates (DSC), issued by Cloud84, are ideal for online tendering, e-filing and other applications which require a secure digital credential.

Individuals or authorised representatives for organisations can purchase E-Mudhra class 2 or 3 DSC, based on their requirements. Cloud84 technical support team provides online and offline support for installation of digital signatures on the buyers’ computer systems.  We delivers eKYC based DSC  within 1 hour* on specific locations (Shimla, Una, Nahan, Palampur, Chandigarh, Delhi) and  for paper based application within 7 working days. Contact Us for more Information.
